The Simpsons Arrives in Psyonix's Hit Game: Unfortunately Not the Car You're Dreaming Of
It was previously announced that The Simpsons was teaming up with Epic Games' battle royale, but that's not the only destination where fans can immerse themselves in the world of Springfield. The long-running series is also making its way to the popular soccer-driving hybrid, introducing an vehicle customization option that will also be compatible in the Fortnite universe. However, if gamers will truly desire to equip it is a different matter, as fans have their hearts set on just one Springfield car everyone is eager to drive, and this isn't it.
The Dream Vehicle
While many gamers would absolutely enjoy to face off while driving Homer's custom creation—the notoriously impractical automobile the patriarch designed himself in the 1991 installment "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?"—that's not what players are receiving. We aren't even receiving the massive SUV, the enormous truck showcased in the tenth season. Instead, players are getting the Simpsons' everyday beat-up sedan, which they've been driving since the show's early days. Though this particular car has seen better days, it stands as an iconic element of the series. And for players who pay attention to the game's vehicle dimensions, the trusty sedan shares the identical collision model as the Dominus.

Additional Themed Cosmetics
And it's not the only customization item from the series coming to Rocket League. This limited-time event will also include a series of challenges to unlock additional rewards, all of which are Simpsons-themed. As detailed in a official announcement, the missions will require players to "get as many centers and clears as there are the show's years on air, collect boost pickups as if your GPS is set to the Simpson residence, and drive a distance worthy of acquiring the ideal pastries!"
Although the complete list of challenge rewards hasn't been disclosed, here is what has been confirmed so far:
- Blinky topper
- Homer's Hedges player banner
- Garbage-themed wheels
- 20,000 XP per challenge
Based on promotional images is any indication, it seems players will also get wheels with a TV displaying the show's opening credits, alien antenna toppers, a sprinkled donut boost trail, and rocket boosts themed to smoldering rubber and Krusty's famous restaurant.
